The call of this bird sounds like a little trumpet. The Canada clover breeds in the coniferous forests of Alaska , Canada, and the northeast and western United States. He builds a breeding cave in dead wood. The entrance of the nest is smeared with pitch . The diet consists of insects and seeds, especially conifers. When looking for food, it also climbs down tree trunks head first or catches insects in flight. In Western Europe, the Canadian Kleiber is a rare stray visitor .
