kanalB is a political video collective belonging to the field of video activism . There are videos produced in different languages, distributed and made available online. Principle is to show that side of the events that the mainstream - media is not covered. Most of the video clips are released under a free Creative Commons license.

kanalB is an activist media project. KanalB has been operating an internet station and producing political documentaries since 2000 . The prerequisite for this work is the Internet and the fact that there is affordable video technology, affordable traffic and cheap server space.

The main focus of content on kanalB is the visualization of social struggles and movements , political analysis and criticism as well as the presentation of alternative life and society designs. The economic and social order is understood as "deeply violent", which kanalB wants to oppose and look for social alternatives.
