Kanishka II.
Kanishka II was a king of the Kushana . He was the successor of Vasudeva I and ruled around 220 AD for about 20 years. Known mainly from his coins, he seems to have ruled India primarily, while the west of the empire ( Bactria ) was likely lost to the Sassanids - although he may also have had success in defensive struggle. With him a new era probably began. His name appears in the nominative on his coins, while his predecessors there, following Greek custom, wrote their names in the genitive.
