Santa Reparata

The chapel of Santa Reparata dates from the 9th century and is located near l'Albitru, north of the D60 near Bonifacio on the French island of Corsica . The pre-Romanesque building was restored in 1983/84.

The walls of the single-nave towerless chapel are made of granite and limestone . There is a lintel with a cross above the portal. Two mythical creatures are carved in bas-relief above. Light enters through two loopholes-like windows or the open door. The semicircular apse still has the original roof covering made of granite shingles (Teghie).
