Kaper (in German as: Freibeuterer ) is a light beer from Poland with an alcohol content of 8.7%  vol.% Is in the brewery Elbrewery in Elblag brewed that the Grupa Zywiec belongs, in turn, part of Heineken 's -Konzerns. The tradition of brewing beer in Elbląg dates back to the Middle Ages. The caper beer was first brewed in 1690. In the logo there is a privateer ship that refers to the pirate fleet of King Casimir IV. Andrew from the Thirteen Years War in the 15th century. The beer was at times also marketed as Hevelius Kaper with reference to the Danzig astronomer Johannes Hevelius .
