The Kapichira waterfalls of the Shire River in Malawi , Africa, are particularly spectacular in the rainy season , when a great deal of water falls about 80 meters down between the granite rocks .
The way to the waterfalls leads from Chikwawa over a paved road, which has very steep sections and depressions that are sometimes impassable after rainfall. A visit to the Kapichira Falls is also worthwhile in the dry season .
