The Kapistre Deresi is a river to the Black Sea in the northeast Turkish province of Artvin .

The Kapistre Deresi rises in the Eastern Pontic Mountains at an altitude of. The river flows through Arhavi County in a northerly direction. It passes the town of Kavak and finally flows into the sea at the district town of Arhavi. The last 4–5 km of the river are canalised for flood protection reasons. The Kapistre Deresi has an average discharge of 15 m³ / s.

The Kapistre Deresi is one of the spawning areas of the Black Sea trout .
