Karel Míšek

Karel Míšek (* 1945 ) is a Czech designer and illustrator .

Misek studied at the Prague College of Industrial Art and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw . In the 1970s he worked for the National Theater in Prague. Since 1994 he has been the head of the graphic design studio at the Faculty of Applied Arts of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem and chairman of the faculty's academic senate.

Works

Misek designs posters, programs and mercantile printed matter for large theaters and orchestras in the Czech Republic and for important music festivals, as well as book illustrations. He has now exhibited his works abroad over 30 times, including twice in Israel , and over a hundred of his works have been acquired by collections and museums.
