Karin Dunse

Karin Dunse (full name Karin Elisabeth Dunse nee Pflueg ; * 1953 in Hanover ) is a German literary scholar and author . Today she lives and works in the Hanover district of Herrenhausen .

Life

Karin Dunse studied German and sociology at the University of Hanover in her hometown and received her doctorate in intercultural literature in 2003 on the subject of evangelization and social change. The role of Christianity and the importance of Christian images and motifs in the work of Ngugi wa Thiong'o .

Since 2003 Dunse has been working as a freelance writer and in adult education. She published "[...] the family book" Die kleine Klara und die Herrenhausen Gardens , a guide to the past and present of the parks, in which she at the same time interwoven the themes of "[...] migration , foreignness and origin from other cultures" in a child-friendly manner.

In her book Die Lebensbeschauerin. It is not that we are happier , Karin Dunse is looking for an answer to the question “What is happiness?” Against the background of personal experiences with people in Tanzania .

Karin Dunse is co-founder and chairwoman of the non-profit association Rafiki za Tanzania .
