Karin S. Weber

Karin S. Weber (* 1948 in Berlin ) is a German educational scientist and professor emeritus for educational, cultural and communication studies at the University of Siegen .

Life

Weber studied education, sports and political science as well as political science, international and European law at the University of Hamburg . After the first state examination in 1976, she was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD. Then she was employed as a student councilor at the Free Hanseatic City of Hamburg .

In 1979/80 Weber was Hildegard Hamm-Brücher's personal advisor in the office of the State Minister of the Foreign Office in Bonn, responsible for foreign cultural policy.

In 1981 Weber was appointed professor for educational, cultural and communication studies at the University of Siegen, where she researched and taught until 2014. Her teaching focused on training, consulting, coaching, quality management and supervision in cultural, school and social fields as well as in media, politics and business. A special area of ​​expertise was the so-called conductive support for children with and without disabilities, which she introduced in Germany from 1989–1992 with a federally funded pilot project.
