Karine Reuter

Karine Reuter (born August 25, 1969 ) is a Luxembourg notary and television presenter .

life and career

Karine Reuter completed her school career at the Lycée des Garçons in Esch-Alzette , where she graduated from high school (filière classique). This was followed by studies at the University of Strasbourg .

Reuter was admitted to the Barreau de Luxembourg in 1997. She worked for the law firms Stoffel and Reding, among others, and later opened her own law firm, which she gave up when she was appointed as a judge in Diekirch in 1997 . In 2005 she was appointed Première Juge in Luxembourg. In 2007 she ended her judging career in order to be named as a notary by Redange . However, it still bears the title of "Premier Juge Honoraire". Karine Reuter has been a notary public in Luxembourg City since 2015.

Reuter became known through the program "Von Fall zu Fall" on the Luxembourg television channel .dok , in which she uses her experience as a lawyer to solve legal problems and explain complex legal rules in a generally understandable manner.

Through her husband Roy Reding , she also got into politics and ran in the national elections in 2009 for the north district and in 2013 for the center district on the list of the Alternative Democratic Reform Party . In 2013 she managed to assert herself as third on the adr list behind the top candidate duo.

In addition to her professional and political career, Ms. Reuter also does volunteer work. She is chairman of the Hadassah charity in Luxembourg and a member of the Friends of Korea Committee (Les amis de la corée Luxembourg asbl)

Since 2016 she has been president of the first division football club Racing-Union, a club in the capital.
