Karl-Heinz Hummel
Karl-Heinz Hummel (born April 11, 1953 in Buchloe ) is a German author, librettist, actor and Bavarian storyteller.
Life
After moving at the age of one year, Karl-Heinz Hummel grew up in Munich and from 1962 in Stephanskirchen near Rosenheim. As a teenager he took violin, guitar and bass lessons, made music in bands, wrote and played street theater. Between 1973 and 1977 he studied social pedagogy at the Landshut and Munich universities of applied sciences. From 1977 to 2018 he worked in the city youth welfare office a. a. as head of the youth culture center in Munich.
As a child, Karl-Heinz Hummel began singing in a choir and acting in the theater. At the age of 12 he wrote his first play and soon afterwards his first songs with English and German lyrics. From 1974 he played in various cabaret and music ensembles, u. a. at the Munich Sati (e) rschutzverein, beehive and TROTTOIR.
Various cabaret programs for Kabarest and contributions followed. a. for the laughing and shooting society, Luise Kinseher, Simone Solga. With theater director Ioan Toma and Luise Toma, he wrote children's theater pieces for the children's theater in Linz: The magic mouse click and The secret in the mirror . This was followed by pieces and arrangements for ValentinKarlstadtTheater such as the musical version by Ritter Unkenstein and Der Wilddieb bei Dinner for One .
With the composer Christian Auer, he created various works as a librettist for musical theater:

- The Brandner Kasper - a Bavarian opera - world premiere in 2012 at the Gut Immling Opera Festival
- The Nutcracker - Christmas children's musical based on ETA Hoffmann, world premiere in 2012 Weihertheater Ortenburg
- Rauhnachtsagen (2011) and BergSagenNacht (2017) with NaglMusi, Evelyn Plank and KH Hummel
- Bavarian sea monsters - water sagas with harp sound with Barbara Eckmüller (2017).
- Munich - A grumpy-comical music cabaret with Kabarest (2017)
