Karl Beckmann (Author)

Karl Beckmann (born February 24, 1882 in Cologne , † after 1958) was a German teacher and author.

Life

He was the son of the billing council, senior telegraph secretary and post office manager Ernst August Beckmann and his wife Elisabeth née Norrenberg. After attending high school he studied at the University and graduated as Dr. phil. He then worked as a high school teacher and teacher in Cologne. He became known for writing numerous textbooks and essays on literary and art history, philosophy, and education.

Karl Beckmann married Emmi Weise in 1913, who died in 1932.
