Karl Beringer

Karl Beringer ( February 15, 1845 in Stettin - April 10, 1907 in Berlin ) was an Austrian theater actor .

Life

Beringer, an actor's child, worked for a long time (1864–1876) at the State Theater in Prague, where he was equally useful in farce and comedy through his healthy, dry and unaffected comedy and was highly favored by the Prague people. After leaving this art venue, he went to the German capital. Most recently, Beringer was employed as a royal actor at the Court Theater in Berlin.

His brother Leopold Beringer was also an actor.

  1. Eisenberg writes on page 85: He died in the poorest of circumstances . Since the lexicon appeared in 1903, he must have been mistaken.
