Karl Pinnow

Karl Pinnow (born February 20, 1895 in Berlin , † December 2, 1942 in the Dachau concentration camp ) was a resistance fighter against the National Socialist regime under Adolf Hitler .

Karl Pinnow lived in Berlin-Friedrichshain at Kopernikusstraße  19, where a memorial plaque is still attached today. He was a member of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) and an employee of the Red Flag . In 1934 he was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for resisting the Nazi regime . In 1941 he was arrested again by the Gestapo and transferred to the Dachau concentration camp . Here he died in 1942.
