Karl Sporbeck
Karl Sporbeck (born March 16, 1924 in Haspe near Hagen ; † November 26, 1980 ) was a German SPD politician .
education and profession
Karl Sporbeck attended elementary school and vocational school. He was a participant in the course on workers' studies at the Dortmund Social Academy and in trade union courses. Sporbeck completed an apprenticeship as a machine fitter; then he took up a job as a moulder and repair fitter.
politics
Karl Sporbeck was a member of the SPD from 1946. In 1954 he became chairman of the Haspe-Süd local association and, from 1959, first chairman of the SPD city association in Hagen. From 1961 he was a member of the board of the SPD sub-district Hagen-Ennepe-Ruhr. Sporbeck was a member of IG Metall from 1945 and a member of the representative assembly from 1953. In 1959 he became a member of the local administration and from 1961 he was the second authorized representative of the local administration of IG Metall Hagen. In 1959 he became a member of the IG Metall district conference in Hagen. From 1955 he was a member of the works council of the Klöckner company in Haspe and in 1959 a member of the advisory board. From 1961 Sporbeck was the second chairman of the advisory board at Klöckner-Werke, Hut Haspe. He was also a member of the joint committee "For the harmonization of working conditions in iron and steel" of the coal and steel union. His other memberships were; Citizen representative in the savings bank council and in committees of the city of Hagen as well as member of the state advisory board for pollution control.
Karl Sporbeck was a directly elected member of the 5th and 6th state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia from July 23, 1962 to July 25, 1970 for constituency 120 Hagen I and constituency 123 Hagen I.
