Karl Strack (priest)

Karl Strack (* 1884 ; † 1975 in Alzen ) was a Catholic priest .

Karl Strack, a college friend of Cardinal Josef Frings from Cologne , was a Catholic pastor in Morsbach from 1924 to 1956 . During his tenure, the churches in Ellingen (1929), Lichtenberg (1957) and Alzen (1954) were built. He has also let the Morsbacher Basilica restore and Fatima - Madonna brought to Alzen.

Karl Strack had many honorary titles: he was papal secret chamberlain , clergyman counselor and honorary dean . The humble pastor was very respected in the population, especially because he had campaigned for the worries and needs of the people during the Second World War.

In 1969, the community of Morsbach was the first citizen to grant him honorary citizenship for his services. A street has been named after Karl Strack since 1991, namely the street between Gertrudisheim and the cemetery.
