Karla Olivares Souza (born December 11, 1985 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican television and film actress . She is best known for portraying Laurel Castillo in How to Get Away with Murder .
biography
Souza was born in Mexico City but grew up in Aspen , Colorado until she was eight . She studied acting at the Centro de Educación Artística in Mexico City and during her training also attended acting courses in France and Moscow, Russia and returned to Mexico, where she got her first role in the telenovela Verano de amor . She has been married to Marshall Trenkmann since 2014.
