Karol Pietrowski

Karol Pietrowski (* around 1760; † after 1800) was a Polish composer.

Life

Little is known about Pietrowski's living conditions. Presumably he received his musical training in Vienna and later worked in Poland as an organist or conductor. From him two of are Viennese classics related symphonies , a Veni Creator Spiritus and the Offertories Benedictus sit Deus and Pro omnbibus festis handed.

CD and books

  • On the audio CD Musica Antiqua Polonica - Polish 18th Century Symphonies by Olympia he is represented as a piece of music with the Symphony in D, played by the Poznan Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Robert Satanowski.
  • In the book The symphony in Poland he is highlighted with his symphony in D major.
