Box (apparatus gymnastics)

box

A box is a piece of gymnastics equipment made up of various wooden components that are stacked on top of each other. The top component is the padded cover, the bottom element is provided with rollers that can be fixed.

The box is most often used as an obstacle to jumping , but also as a ramp or gate . Thanks to their openness, the individual components also offer further sporting areas of application.

The box is often used for apparatus gymnastics as part of school sports .

The term box is widely used, but the correct name is vaulting box .
