Katalin Novák

Katalin Novák , full name Veresné Novák Katalin Éva (born on September 6, 1977 ) is a Hungarian politician, Minister of State for Family, Youth and International Affairs since 2018, Vice-President of Fidesz since 2017.

Life

Between 1992 and 1996 she attended the upper school of the Endre Ságvári high school. Between 1996 and 2001 she studied economics at the Corvinus University Budapest and between 1999 and 2004 at the University of Szeged and the University of Paris-Nanterre .

From 2001 she was politically active and began to work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She specialized in EU and European issues. In 2010 she became Minister Advisor in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in 2012 Head of Cabinet of the Ministry of Public Service. She was also Minister of State for Francophone Affairs.

In 2017 she was elected Vice-President of Fidesz.

She has been Minister of State for Family, Youth and International Affairs since 2018.

Personal

She is married and has three children (a daughter Kata (2008) and two sons Ádám (2004) and Tamás (2006)).

She is fluent in French, English and German (C-level language test) and Spanish (intermediate level).
