Catherine's Cross

In heraldry , the Katharinenkreuz is a heraldic figure consisting of a wheel with a cross . It iconographically refers to Saint Catherine of Alexandria . The wheel, also known as the Katharinenrad , was studded with sharp iron points and is one of the attributes of her martyrdom .
