The Katharinenstaffel is a staircase in Esslingen am Neckar , which was built in 1901.

As a continuation of Katharinenstraße, the Katharinenstaffel connects the Esslingen city center with northern residential areas on a hillside. It runs in a north-south direction. Its lower, southern end is located on the lower part of Mülbergerstraße, which it crosses again about halfway. In the further course, after crossing the Hölderlinweg, the Lenzhalde is reached, from which, after an offset of approx. 50 meters in an easterly direction, another section in the direction of Flandernstraße forms the end. Originally the route of the Katharinenstaffel was about 200 meters long. The two-armed entrance at the lower end has been preserved. Where the two arms of the stairs converge, there is a first small viewing platform, which is adorned with figures and an inscription. The staircase, which is partly still lined by the old wrought-iron railings, runs in several steps and has a second, semicircular viewing platform with a bench and fountain, where the staircase divides into two arms. The upper part has not been preserved in its original form; the transition to the Hölderlinweg is unadorned.
