Kaukautzky (Puppet Theater Winter)

A Kaukautzky is a character without a head.
The player hangs the figure around his neck and uses his own facial expressions. The Kaukautzky's hands can be held on sticks or the player sticks his own hands through sleeve slits. The body of the puppeteer should be kept inconspicuous through lighting and clothing so that the audience only perceives the extremely lively figure with its grotesque proportions.
The strengths of this type of figure also lie in the grotesque .
