The Kaunertaler Gletscherstraße , a toll road for motor vehicles, is a high mountain road in the Austrian state of Tyrol . It leads in 29  hairpin bends from Feichten in the Kaunertal ( 1287  m ) - past the Gepatsch reservoir - up to 2750  m , directly to the Weißseeferner. The Kaunertal Glacier ski area , which opened in 1980, is located there.

The glacier panorama road is very well developed and is one of the most beautiful high mountain roads in the Alps. A special feature is the highest post bus stop in Austria at the top of the street.

The end point of the Kaunertaler Gletscherstraße was a stage destination of the Tour of Austria several times , for example in 1996 and 1999, before it was pushed out of the stage plan by the Kitzbüheler Horn .

The operator is Kaunertaler Gletscherbahnen GmbH.
