Kaur Kender

Kaur Kender (born May 27, 1971 ) is an Estonian writer .

Kaur Kender studied semiotics and literary theory at the Estonian Humanitarian Institute in Tallinn . He is also a trained advertising specialist and former boxer. Kaur Kender made his debut in 1998 with the novel Iseseisvuspäev ("Independence Day"), which received the literary prize of the state foundation Eesti Kultuurkapital . His works are well received by both literary critics and popular culture. He also works as a publicist and columnist for various Estonian print and internet newspapers. Recurring themes are money, business, sex and masculinity.
