The Kavakdere Dam ( Turkish Kavakdere Barajı ) is a dam on the Kavakdere, a tributary of the Aegean Sea , in the province of İzmir in northwestern Turkey .

The Kavakdere Dam is located 8 km southeast of the city of Seferihisar in the hinterland of the coast. It was built between 1994 and 2006 to irrigate an area of ​​489 hectares and to protect against floods . The barrier structure is a 42 m high earthfill dam . The dam volume is 2.1 million m³. The reservoir covers an area of ​​96 hectares with normal damming. The storage space is 14 million m³.
