architecture

The church is a rectangular hall building with wide sloping corners. The west tower placed in the middle corresponds to a flat pulpit niche at the rear. Behind it is a small sacristy . The brick masonry stands on a square base. A verschiefertes hipped roof covers the building. A curved tower dome with a high pyramid of helmets attached, also slated, a weather vane and the shape of a trumpet angel complete the tower.

After the church of Wickrathberg, the church is the oldest Protestant church building in the city area, which can exemplarily represent the type of Protestant preaching church valid in the 18th century . As a testimony to the assertion of the Protestant community in Odenkirchen, a monument of high rank in terms of local and church history.
