Cavalry Commission

The cavalry commission was a permanent commission in the German army , which was located in the war ministry and was responsible for dealing with cavalry matters.

The cavalry commission was created by a cabinet order of February 20, 1890 and had its seat in Berlin .

The Commission was responsible for a number of issues, such as: B. for the drill regulations , for the armament and the training of the cavalry.

The chairman of the cavalry commission was the general inspector of the cavalry (see cavalry inspection ). Permanent members were the commander of the Guards Cavalry Division , two officers from the War Ministry, an officer from the General Staff and an officer from the field artillery .
