Kay Hooper

Kay Hooper (* 1958 in California ) is an American writer.

Life

Hooper was born the first of three siblings on a United States Air Force base in California. When her father left the Army, the family returned to North Carolina and settled near Forest City . Hooper completed her school years there at East Rutherford High School and then began to study economics at Isothermal Community College (Spindale, NC).

After just one semester, she gave up this course and switched to literature and literary history . During this time Hooper began to write and was able to successfully debut in 1980 with her novel "Lady Thief".

Hooper is single and currently (2014) lives in the small town of Bostic, North Carolina, near her father and siblings.
