Kazuo Ozaki ( Japanese 尾崎 加 寿 夫 Ozaki Kazuo ; born March 7, 1960 in Tokyo) is a former Japanese national soccer player.
career
Ozaki's career began in 1978 when he was eighteen in the Japanese first division. Previously, he was the captain of the junior national team of Japan . Kazuo Ozaki, a seventeen-time Japanese national team player, joined the Bundesliga in 1983 as the second Japanese player after Yasuhiko Okudera from the Mitsubishi works team Mitsubishi Motors . Horst Köppel discovered him . Arminia Bielefeld signed the fast striker, where he stayed until 1988. During this time he completed 113 league appearances for the Armines, including 62 in the first division. In 1988 Ozaki moved to FC St. Pauli for one year, but only played six games there and did not get beyond the reserve role. Then Ozaki went to German amateur football for another season, at TuRU Düsseldorf , before returning to his Japanese homeland in 1990. He played again for Mitsubishi Motors or Urawa Red Diamonds and Verdy Kawasaki in the J-League , but could not build on old performances there either, so that he ended his professional career in 1993. In Japan Ozaki came to 78 first division appearances.

Oddities
In 1984 Ozaki ran in the game Arminia Bielefeld against FC Schalke 04 despite a broken nose. He wore a so-called face mask. In that game he also saw the red card. It was his only expulsion during his professional time in Germany.
