The Keßlerstraße is a street in Hildesheim with half-timbered houses from the 16th century. It is one of the last remnants of the historic Neustadt and at the same time the "Nuremberg of the North", which was largely submerged in the bombing of Hildesheim on March 22, 1945.

The road runs in an east-west direction immediately north of the Kehrwiederwall . It is first attested as Straße der Kesselflicker in 1309 and under the name Ketelerstrate for the first time in 1315. and belonged to the Goschen farming community in the Neustadt.

Most of the half-timbered buildings are modest, originally Gothic stalls because of the predominantly poor population . Later conversions and new buildings are also partly represented. The Dompropstei , the Großvogtei and the house of Canon Schmedding stand out as exceptions . A house on Keßlerstrasse belonged to the Lambertinum choir students .

Complaints about the piles of rubbish, especially in Keßlerstrasse, preceded the founding of the Hildesheimer Pflasterkasse .
