The former Celtic castle

The Keltschenschloss is a former manor in the Bruck district of the Middle Franconian city of Erlangen .

The building was erected around 1649. Around 1724/26 it was rebuilt to its current appearance. From the end of the 18th century until 1801 it served as a mansion. The property later served as the “Zum Goldenen Bären” inn.

The core of the building dates from the 17th century, the gable facade made of sandstone blocks probably from the year 1728. A ground floor outbuilding with half-timbered and gable roof from the second half of the 17th century belongs to it. Both buildings, including the garden fountain, the garden wall made of ashlar and the entrance pillar with a spherical top, are listed as historical monuments.
