The Kemer Dam ( Kemer Barajı in Turkish ) is located in southern Turkey in the Aydın province on Akçay , a tributary of the Great Meander .
The Kemer Dam was built between 1954 and 1958. The barrier structure consists of a 108.5 m high concrete gravity dam . The associated 12.1 km² reservoir has a storage volume of 358 million m³. The hydropower plant has an installed capacity of 48 MW. The standard work capacity is 143 GWh per year. The dam is used to irrigate an area of 57,847 hectares.
