Bozdoğan is a city in the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Aydın and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi Aydın (metropolitan municipality / metropolitan province ) created in 2012 . The city is located on the eastern slope of Madranbaba Dağı, part of the Doğu Menteşe Dağları . The district is bordered by Çine to the west, Muğla Province to the south, Karacasu to the east and Nazilli and Yenipazar to the north .
According to the city logo, Bozdoğan received the status of a Belediye (municipality) as early as 1886 .
Since a regional reform in 2014, the district has been identical to the district town in terms of area and population; all former villages and communities in the district have become mahalla (districts) of the city.
