Nazilli is a city in the Ilçe (district) of the same name in the Turkish province of Aydın and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi Aydın (metropolitan municipality / metropolitan province ) created in 2012 . It is located on the north bank of the Great Meander , about 45 kilometers east of the provincial capital on the D-320 highway that connects Aydın with Denizli .

According to the city logo, Nazilli received the status of a Belediye (municipality) as early as 1881.

Since a regional reform in 2014, the Ilçe is identical in area and population to the district town, all 62 former villages and two municipalities (status at the end of 2012: İsabeyli and Pirlibey ) of the district became mahalla (districts) of the city.
