Kuyucak is a city in the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Aydın and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi Aydın (metropolitan municipality / metropolitan province ) created in 2012 . It is located on the north bank of the Great Meander , about 55 kilometers east of the provincial capital on the D-320 highway. which connects Aydın with Denizli .
According to the city seal, the place received the status of a Belediye (municipality) in 1876 .
Since a regional reform in 2014, the district has been identical to the district town in terms of area and population; all former villages and communities in the district have become mahalla (districts) of the city.
