Dominique Ristori (born March 12, 1952 in Toulon ) is a former French EU official and was Director General of the Energy Directorate of the European Union from 2014 to July 2019 .

Dominique Ristori studied in Nice and then in Paris at the Institute for Political Studies, graduating in 1975. In 1978, he joined the European Commission. He initially worked in the Directorate-General for Enterprise Policy, then moved from 1996 to 1999 as Director for European Energy Policy in the Directorate-General for Energy, then from 2000 as Director for General Affairs and Resources in the Directorate-General for Energy and Transport. From 2006 to 2010 he was Deputy Director General of this department, then from 2010 to 2013 as Director General of the Joint Research Center . In January 2014, he took over the management of the Energy Directorate-General. He retired on July 31, 2019.
