Centaur Painter
The Centaur Painter was an Attic vase painter of the black-figure style . He was in the middle of the 6th century BC. Active in Athens and is one of the late minor masters .
The centaur painter was named with this emergency name after the frequent depiction of centaurs on his vases . He painted his works mainly with horses and mythical creatures such as centaurs and satyrs . He depicts his characters vividly, but also with a certain nervousness. Unlike most other vase painters, he does without palmettes with handles .
