The organization Khulumani (meaning in isiXhosa "freely speaking one's opinion".), Also Khulumani Support Group , stands up for the interests of the victims of apartheid. It was founded in 1995 by the anti-apartheid activist Nomarussia Bonase in order to give these people a voice too, since the perpetrators' point of view was predominantly presented in the context of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission .

As part of the International Campaign for Debt Relief and Compensation in Southern Africa , 91 members of the Khulumani group filed a lawsuit in the USA in 2002, which was finally dismissed in 2013. They also received financial support from the German umbrella association of critical shareholders .
