The KiSS Technology A / S is a Danish manufacturer of home network technology , particularly DivX -enabled DVD players , DVB receivers to work in plasma - and LCD inch television and network-enabled hard disk recorders .
The company is based in Hørsholm, not far from Copenhagen .
history
Founded in 1994, KiSS Technology was privately owned until July 2005 when Cisco bought it for $ 61 million.
Products
The products have so far been sold through the Cisco subsidiary Linksys. KiSS developed products such as the DP-450, the first DivX-capable standalone DVD player with direct output to a television or projector and was therefore one of the world's leading manufacturers in its segment.
