KiXtart is a scripting language for Microsoft Windows - operating systems . It is developed by Ruud van Velsen from Microsoft in the Netherlands and distributed as Careware .

KiXtart is extensible and supports a number of technologies that are very common within the Windows platform. These include the Component Object Model (COM), Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI), ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI). With the help of KiXforms , graphical user interfaces for KiXtart scripts can be developed. KiXtart is not compatible with the Microsoft Active Scripting architecture as it was developed before Active Scripting and the Windows Script Host (WSH) existed.
