Kim-Lillian Strebel

Kim-Lillian Strebel (* in London ) is a British opera and concert singer in the lyric soprano category.

Life

Kim-Lillian Strebel grew up in Switzerland, devoted himself to dance from early childhood and then studied singing at the Royal Academy of Music with Anthony Rolfe-Johnson and at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. There were also courses with Kiri Te Kanawa and Ryland Davies. In the 2012/2013 season she was a scholarship holder of the support group of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and made her debut there as Musetta in La Bohème and as Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel .

In 2013/2014 she was a member of the Basel Opera Studio and from 2014 to 2017 a member of the ensemble at the Freiburg Theater. Here she presented u. a. the Micaela in Carmen , the Euridice in Orfeo ed Euridice , Adina in L'elisir d'amore , Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte and Lucette in Cendrillon . Her American operatic debut in July 2017 as Pamina in the Magic Flute at the Cincinnati Opera. She subsequently performed this role at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Opéra Comique Paris . In March 2018 she played the title role in the German premiere of Donizetti's later opera Adelia at the Theater für Niedersachsen . She made her debut at the Graz Opera in January 2019 as Martha in the opera of the same name by Friedrich von Flotow .
