Kim Mi-yong (also Kim Mi-yeong , Korean 김미영; born May 6, 1983 in Namp'o ) is a former North Korean table tennis player .

Career

In 2001 she was able to celebrate her first major successes on an international level: with the team she won silver at the World Cup . A year later she also won the gold medal with the team at the Asian Games.

She achieved further success on the Pro Tour. In 2008, the North Korean was able to qualify for the Olympic Games , but lost there in the second round to the Lithuanian Ruta Paškauskienė . In January 2010 she was 84th in the ITTF world rankings , her highest ranking in her career.
