The Child Maintenance Fund Administration at the Lithuanian Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor ( lit.Vaikų išlaikymo fondo administracija prie Socialinės apsaugos ir darbo ministerijos ) is a Lithuanian state authority that administers the child maintenance fund and represents the interests of children in child maintenance matters . The authority is subordinate to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor of the Republic of Lithuania . It has 30 employees (as of 2015). It is based in Vilnius , in the Šnipiškės district .

history

The authority was established in 2007 under the Child Support Fund Act ( Lietuvos Respublikos vaikų išlaikymo fondo įstatymas ) of 2007. At that time there was a joint institution for the administration of Employee Guarantee Child Support Fund ( Garantinio ir vaikų išlaikymo fondų administracija ). Since 2010 there has been a separate authority for employee guarantees and child maintenance.
