Nykøbing Sjælland Church
The Church of Nykøbing Sjælland is a church of the Danish People's Church in the Danish town Nykøbing Zealand . It is located in the parish of Nykøbing Sj Sogn in the municipality of Odsherred Kommune .
Architecture and history
The church was built in red brick in Romanesque style in 1225 . At the end of the 13th century the interior of the church received a vaulted ceiling. In the period around 1400 there was an extension with two aisles.
In 1957 the church received a crucifix from 1375 in the choir arch.
