Church harvest

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The church year reading is a Bible reading plan that is used to thematically deepen the Sunday Gospel or the weekly verse in the following week using appropriate sections from the entire Bible. The concept corresponds to the " Proprium s-Tageslese" from the daily book of the Evangelical Michael Brotherhood .

The Protestant church year.

The texts remain the same within a church year ; on the other hand, every change in the pericope order requires the development of a reading order for the days of the week that is appropriate for the respective Sunday. The current church year harvest was prepared by Reinhard Brandhorst (former pastor at the Protestant Leonhard Church , Stuttgart) on behalf of the Liturgical Conference of Germany.

In addition to the Ecumenical Bible Reading, the standard editions of the Moravian Slogans also contain suggestions for the church year reading.
