The island belongs to the Upernavik Archipelago and is located in Tasiusaq Bay .

Aapparsuaq is located six kilometers southwest of Puugutaa , eight kilometers southeast of Sisuarissut , eight kilometers northeast of Natsisaat and ten kilometers east of Taartoq , and nine kilometers north of the next settlement Aappilattoq .
