Kirchenkarbahn II

The Kirchenkarbahn II is a single-cable gondola (10-MGD, gondola lift ) in Hochgurgl in the Austrian state of Tyrol .

The facility is owned by the Hochgurgl lift company in Tyrol and is the continuation of the Kirchenkarbahn I lift .

Technical specifications

The cable car system was built by Doppelmayr / Garaventa in 2018 and can transport ten people per cabin. Until this cable car system was built, the Kirchenkar area was only accessible with drag lifts .

The cable car is part of the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl lift network and only operates in winter. The Obergurgl-Hochgurgl lift network extends from around 1800 to 3080 m above sea level, has 25 lifts and 110 kilometers of slopes. The total conveying capacity should be 40,500 people per hour.
