The Kirchenkarbahn I is a single-cable gondola lift (10-MGD, gondola lift ) in Hochgurgl in the Austrian state of Tyrol .

The facility is owned by the Hochgurgl lift company in Tyrol and is a feeder to the Kirchenkarbahn II .

Technical specifications

The cable car system was built in 2015 by Doppelmayr / Garaventa and opened on November 28, 2015 and can transport ten people per cabin. It is the world's first 10-seater gondola lift in the “D-Line” product line from Doppelmayr. The opening took place parallel to the opening of the Top Mountain Crosspoint . Until this cable car system was built, the Kirchenkar area was only accessible with drag lifts . The cost of the cable car system should be around seven million euros.
